You can either build it in visual studios or download the release from Github instead of the code.

Extract and run OpenBullet2.exe

As for guides there are lots of helpful tooltips on what everything does, you can also try and look up guides for OB1 as there are some similarities, otherwise just wait for the guide to come out.
